Project Management Professionals (PMP®) can earn Professional Development Units at PMiCon2005 toward maintaining their Credential
| PMI supports the ongoing professional development of Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP®) and the maintenance of PMP Certification. PMI does this through its Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program. Read more about the CCR Program. |
| What is a Professional Development Unit or PDU? |
The PDU is the measuring unit used to quantify approved learning and professional service activities. |
PMPs are required to complete a designated number PDUs in order to maintain their Certification. |
These activities must be related to project management topics that are substantially consistent with the Knowledge Areas and Processes as outlined by A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and involve appropriate expert resources. |
Typically, one PDU is earned for every one hour spent in a planned, structured learning experience or activity. |
