  Key Findings

All delegates unanimously agreed that the principles laid down in PMBOK are extremely relevant to successfully executing projects in today’s digital age. Some of the other key findings that were unveiled during this event were:

  • Even in this age of virtual teams, face to face communication among the team members and visiting the project site are extremely critical to the success of a project.

  • It is necessary that project managers do not look at a country as a whole but analyze both the macro as well as micro factors present in the country’s environment.

  • The terminology of PMBOK being adopted as a standard among project managers of today, has gone a long way in removing problems arising out of language differences.

  • It is imperative that proper documentation is maintained, when managing projects in a multi cultural environment. Project managers should also regularly exchange notes among each other so that clear objectives are understood by all stake holders.

  • Flexible work hours should be maintained by all teams and the work load should be equally distributed among all teams.
