India, in the advent of this century, reflects a very promising image for the future. It is not only one of the most lucrative regions in the world for foreign investments but also an emerging power in the global economy. From BPOs to IT and Software industries, from the steel merchants to the emperors of telecommunications, India is progressing rapidly in every industry. With the growth rate of 9%, India is the most promising country for foreign investments today. In such a business scenario, the one thing that the Indian professionals need to open their minds to is “Working in a Multi – Cultural Environment”.
Managing Projects in a Multi – Cultural Environment, an evening organized by the PMI North India Chapter, focused on the changing trends in managing projects and in the communication styles in the global world. The event was a huge success in bringing together experienced professionals from various parts of the world. With the insight into the global project management trends from the speakers and the active participation of all the professionals present in the event, it explored the issues faced by project professionals while working on offshore projects. It provided them with a single platform to share their experiences and explore possibilities of better ways of communication to overcome such issues. The unique panel and the Q&A session proved to be an eye opener for all the participants present in the event. |
