Upendra is an internationally recognized expert in project management. • He had been the initiator and organizer to arrange first Project Management Congress in India - PMiCon2005- under the aegis of Project Management Institute (PMI®), the world's leading professional association for the project management profession which was supported by Govt. of India, D.I.T., IBM, Microsoft, Satyam, CISCO, Primavera and many more and was attended by several IT Secretaries of India.

Upendra completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. In October 1999, Upendra was awarded PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. A member of PMI®, Upendra Giri has been appointed President of the PMI® North-India Chapter by PMI® headquarters in the USA. Additionally Mr. Giri is also a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), New Delhi. One more feather was added to the cap when Mr. Giri was recognized for his exemplary service on “2005 PMI Asia Pacific Congress Project Action Team” at Singapore.
