The Project Management Institute’s Professional Awards
Program recognizes outstanding performance in the practice of
project management and the selfless contributions of individuals
to the project management profession and to the Institute.
PMI’s most prestigious award, Project
of the Year, is awarded to a project passing a rigorous
three-tier selection process whose team members have demonstrated
superior performance in the application of project management
principles and techniques. Additionally, PMI honors individuals
who have made sustained and significant contributions to the
project management profession either through research or literature.
Individuals are also recognized for outstanding service to
the project management profession or to PMI. Still other awards
acknowledge the outstanding contributions of volunteers at
the Institute’s Chapter and Specific Interest Group
(SIG) levels
